Position Summary
- The U.S. Mission in Tegucigalpa, Honduras is seeking a Supply Clerk (Expendables) to manage inventory control, storage, and distribution of expendable supplies in the General Services Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage stock room inventory, maintain appropriate stock levels, and reorder items when needed
- Conduct routine cycle counts and spot-checks to ensure accurate inventory quantities and locations
- Monitor and process supply requests through ILMS Expendables system
- Pick and deliver expendable items to offices and agencies across the Mission
- Submit procurement requests for replenishment items in ILMS Ariba
- Prepare expendable items for auction including documentation and labeling
- Manage warehouse operations ensuring proper storage, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Create billing, consumption, and expendables reports for requesting offices
- Operate official vehicles to pick up and deliver supplies as needed
Required Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in supply/warehousing/expendables or property/supply management
Education:
High School diploma required
Language Skills:
English: Good Working Knowledge (Reading/Writing/Speaking) - may be tested
Spanish: Good Working Knowledge (Reading/Writing/Speaking) - may be tested
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of supply chain and warehousing operations
- Experience with computerized inventory and stock control systems (ILMS experience preferred)
- Strong recordkeeping and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of local vendors and procurement procedures
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver's license (must have held license for minimum 5 years)
- Ability to lift up to 51 lbs. (23 kg)
- Must be able to obtain and hold a security certificate
- Subject to background investigation
